Because leaders operate in a social context, they must work skillfully within the social context. Awareness of interrelated conditions and circumstances that may hinder or help the success of the proposed change or solution must be taken into consideration.
Leaders have to anticipate reactions; knowing the environment impacts quality of desired outcome.
This step is reflective, pausing for objective thinking for enhancement of acceptance.
Contextual Thinking requires awareness of the environment and forces that will support or hinder success. This insight and wisdom improves chances for success.
