Action Cycle I - CPS Clarification

Formulating Solutions

Problem finding.

Clarifying the challenge

What’s in the way between now and the future state.

Leaders must break patterned thinking, uncover unknown opportunities, get to the root cause of an issue, gain clarity and test assumptions. A leader who thinks strategically builds bridges and highways to get from the present to the future by getting to the heart what is in the way and reframing the problem differently.

Strategic Thinking complements Visionary Thinking as the second step in the Clarifying Stage of CPS. The purpose of Strategic Thinking is to identify the challenge.

The problem identified is the problem solved.

For a vision to become a reality, recognition of what must be done to an achieve the goal is paramount. Articulating critical issues develops the direction or pathway toward the desired future state.
